I had a plan for a different blog today, but this is too amazing of a story not to share.
There’s a lot of stuff to glean from this experience. A lot to realize and be thankful for.
I drove down Rt 17, turned right off of it, and drove until I hit the water, where Bay Tree Manor stands nestled beside the- you guessed it- bay. The Chesapeake Bay, which I hear may or may not have been formed by a giant meteor back in the day.
I had no idea the bed and breakfast existed before that weekend, and I’m a little surprised I didn’t, but I don’t get out much. Hehehe. However, it’s a sweet event venue, and definitely a place I wouldn’t mind spending a weekend getaway.
Engagement photos, what are they good for? The session itself is wonderful for getting to know your photographer(s), and spending time getting comfortable in front of the camera for your wedding. But other than the obvious (to celebrate getting married!!), what else can you use the pictures themselves for? You paid money for them, and you spent the time to have them taken, so why not show them off in more ways than one? If you’re stumped on how to go about that, today we’re sharing a few of our favorite ways to use your engagement photos.
Hey there! Today we are doing something totally awesome, and a little different- we’ve got a guest post to share from DIY queen, Natalya, of Glitches and Stitches. She recently started a new series on ways to be crafty for your wedding, and since our own wedding had a little bit of DIY sewn into it, and we love crafty brides and grooms, it only feels natural to share the goodness with you all!
Not too long ago, Kat and I had the opportunity to visit Holland. Easily the cleanest, freshest, and most efficient place we visited, it was my second favorite destination. We were able to bike all over the surrounding areas since we stayed outside the city. Biking into Amsterdam main was only about 20km, which sounds like a lot, but it isn’t.
We are quite possibly biased, however, your photographer is different from all of the other vendors you hire for your wedding. Not only are they the ones that work the closest with you on the big day, but also they are giving you a product that is intangible until AFTER everything is said and done! Of course, a great photographer will give you more than just pictures- but we’ll get to that.
Every year, without fail, all of the ladies in our church family get dressed up, decorate tables, and come and enjoy a tea together! The men serve little tea sandwiches and hot water, there’s always a wonderful speaker, and plenty of good fellowship. I get to enjoy eating and drinking tea, and Mark gets to photograph it, hehehe. Enjoy his work!
Sometimes I have to go on travel for my other job. I always dislike it, because I really prefer being at home with my husband- crazy right? All of you men and women who deal with deployments? You all are very strong.
Hey friends! It’s been such a busy week… Daylight savings has turned our brains to mush, and we keep forgetting to post on Instagram… so we asked Max to guest blog for us this week. We promised him cat nip in return. He gladly accepted.
I know the first thing that most little girls think of, when they think about weddings, is THE DRESS! It’s what every girl is most excited about, and it’s something that only gets worn ONCE (unless you incorporate it into anniversary shoots or your daughter or granddaughter wants to wear it)!!
Because of this, I think a lot of women get this idea in their head of ‘the perfect dress’ and how they’ll just know when they see it. Well… maybe that happens for some women, but I have never had any experience in my life where I just knew something was right for me…
